About Me

Hi and welcome to this safe space.

There's something about motherhood that rewrites your whole story.

I'm Delisha, a mother, a trainee counsellor, a woman learning every day to embrace the beauty and complexity of life.

When I first became a mother, I thought I understood love. But motherhood showed me a love that is fierce, exhausting, tender, and endless all at once. It's a journey that had brought me to my knees and lifted me higher than I ever felt possible.

Diary of a Modern Mummy is my safe spacea place where I can share not just the highlights, but the quiet struggles, the lessons, and the small victories that often go unseen.

I also carry a deep story within me  the story of navigating life as a mixed-race woman, of finding belonging, and now, learning what kind of mother I want to be.

Here, i'll be writing with honesty and heart about motherhood, healing, identity, and self- care.

I don't have all the answers. But I believe in the power of sharing our journeys, because in our shared stories, we find strength.

Thank you for finding your way here.

I can't wait to walk this path together.

With love,

Delisha x
